Invite a teammate
Updated 18 May 2026
Inviting the second person is the moment a project becomes useful for more than your own memory. Tyto gives you three onramps so you can pick the lightest one for the person you're inviting — the technical one, the link-share one, or the email-only one for people who'll never log in.
Steps
- Settings → Team → Invite. Type their email, hit send. They get a link, sign up with Clerk, land in your workspace.
- Share an invite link. Same screen, Copy invite link. Paste it into Slack, an email, wherever. Anyone with the link joins your workspace.
- Cc them on the next email task. Tyto by email creates them as a guest — they can read and reply without ever opening Tyto. Pure email. No new tab.
What they see when they arrive
The same clarity you have. Their own My Tasks, organised the same way as yours. The projects they're on. The chat for those projects. The activity log on every task they touch. Nothing new for them to learn — the shape is identical for everyone in the workspace.
That's where the team-level value compounds: each new person plugs into a system that's already legible to them.
No rationing
Every plan is flat-fee per workspace, not per seat. Invite the whole team. We priced it this way so adding people isn't a decision you make twice — once you've decided to use Tyto, the second-third-fourth person costs nothing extra.
Guests (the cc-on-email onramp) don't use a seat either; they participate in specific threads without joining the workspace at all.
What teammates can do once they're in
- See the projects they've been added to (not all projects — only what they need)
- Make, edit, comment, and complete tasks in those projects
- Reply in chat, get @-mentioned, react
- Open their own My Tasks for anything assigned to them
Guests get a narrower view: the threads they were cc'd on, by email or on a shared link. They can reply by email but can't navigate the rest of the workspace.
Now: how each of you can see the project the way that suits you.
