Your team, from anywhere

Updated 18 May 2026

The phone is where most "where's the team?" questions get answered fastest — because you've already got it in your hand. Four live ones below.

"Customer's asking when. I don't know who's on it."

Tuesday, 11:42. A regular's on the line wanting an ETA on the BT-50. You're on the road. You don't know if Sarah's elbows-deep in another job or free to ring him back.

Phone out → Projects tab. Each project row tells you who's busy on it right now. Tap through and you see exactly what each person is doing. Two seconds. Now you can tell the customer who's on it, and call her direct.

The same trick works in reverse: Team tab → tap a person → you see their day laid out the same way you see your own. Useful before you assign them another thing.

"Did I tell Sarah about the spring brief?"

11:50pm. You're not quite asleep. You can't remember if you actually assigned that thing.

Open the phone. Open the task. The activity log shows when it was assigned, by whom, and who's followed it since. If you didn't tell her, you can do it from where you are — the task editor on the phone is the full one.

Now you can sleep.

"Monday morning. Who pinged me on Friday?"

Long weekend. Catching up. You don't want to open fourteen threads to find the three things actually waiting on you.

My Tasks shows your @-mentions inline — on tasks and in chat. Tap one, reply or just 👍 to acknowledge it, and it clears from the list. Next. The whole list shrinks under your thumb. Three minutes and the inbox is real.

"The team uses WhatsApp. They won't move."

The half of your team who refuse to use "yet another tool" already live on WhatsApp. A separate work chat is a non-starter.

Tyto's chat is closer to WhatsApp than Slack on purpose — rooms, messages, media, @mentions, no channels-and-/commands ritual. Need a quick "how do you want this?" — tap the room, tap Call in the header, voice or video, LiveKit-fast. No Zoom URLs, no calendar wrangling, no "let me find the link."

To rename a room, add or remove members, hit Group info in the top-right — the place you'd look if you'd used WhatsApp for ten years, because that's the audience.

And the leaderboard

Drawer menu → Leaderboard. The team's points for the current week, racked up from completing tasks. Workflow-step points come later. It's there because some teams genuinely like the friendly competition — if yours doesn't, ignore the drawer item and it never bothers you.
